I Took A Pill in Ibiza (Seeb remix) by Mike Posner

The video for this song always fascinated me. Drugs don't always have the desired effect of making you seem cool and part of the in-crowd. The protagonist in this video ends up rather sticking out in the crowd, isolated, alone, feeling weird, feeling out of place. At least that's the message I got from the song. One man's regrets over taking a pill in order to get high and to be cool. While it looks like he's having a good time at some points when he's flying high over the dancing crowd, apparently he isn't. When he looks at himself in the mirror, he seems surprised to see himself--wondering who he is, perhaps? Wondering if it was worth it? Perhaps it was for a brief few minutes. An interesting message in a song that at first glance appears to promote getting high.
